If you see me out and about without the RP tag on, I am most likely not in character and are goofing off. You are welcome to approach and ask to start an rp session but depending on the energy with my tag off, I may refuse or schedule for later. Connections are great and I don't mind plotting out things ICly in advance. Just give a poke. I can be a slow typer and can lose replies in a heavy crowd. If I do, just let me know and I will be more than happy to fix it. We all love a good angst but there is a time, a place and an amount. Please keep in mind, my OOC and IC are two completely different things. Mun =/= Muse. I prefer ingame roleplay and am not likely to give out my discord to roleplay the first few meetings. My character is pretty lore centric and I’ve done my due diligence to make sure she’s abiding. That said, I don’t mind lore bending and don’t mind roleplaying with lore benders so long as it is within reason and makes sense. Cyriette, like any other person, has her strengths and her weaknesses. Bold, bright and determined - Cyriette is a person who when she sets her mind to something she uses what she can to see it through. She’s resourceful and utilizes what she can and what she can find on hand to help with whatever goal she has in mind. She’s personable and friendly, tries to approach others and when others ask for her help, she’s more than happy to help.On the other hand, Cyriette has her own fatal flaws Namely two of her biggest flaws is that she’s impatient and dogmatic. She can’t wait for things to be and when her patience runs out, she’ll try and force things into place often breaking or putting herself further behind in her destination in doing so. And while she is friendly, she’s stubborn about being self reliant and knowing what’s best. She has a hard time taking advice and an even harder time following it. She’s convinced when she knows something, she knows it and there’s no other way around it.While she does try and balance being someone who isn’t afraid to push herself to higher places against the anger in waiting when things need to settle, she does prioritize her job and her friends above all else. The story of Sil’dah is written by the victors. Deep within the sands, buried in its ruins are the roots of Cyriette’s family line. Powerful Arcmages, accomplished and without equal, wiped out and destroyed by zombies in the street. Her legacy is lost before she understands that it was taken from her. But the MacVarishs do not die this day. They change, they grow, and they survive. Ul’dah’s doors open and they are forced to the streets as penny less rats. Their namesake, their history, is deserted in attempts to live.Cyriette grows up in this history, the following being public and easy to find. The MacVarishs are a poverish family - her father makes shoes for a living. She is the older sister to two brothers and life for them is hard and grueling growing up. She marries young to a wealthily merchants son who finds her pretty and the wedding is arranged to bring wealth to her younger siblings and her parents. After that, Cyriette vanishes for a bit in Ul’dah’s history. It’s unsure what she does during this time or why.She returns back into records when she applies and joins the Thaumaturges guild with the signature of a Sultansworn and an Investigator for the Alders Detective Agency vouch for her abilities and her character. She’s remarked as brilliant and outstanding - a fierce aether user. Her husband passes shortly after, murdered though with no suspects or clues and it eventually runs dry. Cyriette rises in ranks at the guild until the guild turns to employing her for her knowledge on Aether into various inquiries near and far. She’s still a strong ally in their employment, though her freedom to do as she pleases and go where she likes is earned in her track record.What she does now remains to be seen.
At the heart of this school of magic lies the ability to call forth and command the latent aether within oneself through deep introspection.

Cyriette is a natural born aether user. From a young age, she always had a connection with flame and fire - manipulating the element both internally and externally before she fully realized what she was doing. Though while she had the talent, she lacked the training which in turn led to more issues. While she had training from her mother at a young age it eventually stopped and she was a grown adult when she began formally training with the thaumaturge guild.Now fully trained in a few different aetherology fields, Cyriette is a talented Thaumaturge with training relating to other forms of aether manipulation in the form of Arcanist, Conjurer, Red Mage, Sage and Blue Mage. Try as she might, the patience for full conjuration never came to her and like her personality, she prefers things she can push and control. Her Arcanist is often messy and chaotic compared to others and those who are trained would remark she tries to force formulas more often than not to get the results she wants. Red Mage and Sage she was lucky enough to gain soul stones to be fully trained in. Blue magic, on the other hand, is something she’s far more attuned with as the idea of using the aether around her seems to stick a lot better with her training. She struggles, admittedly more than she should, balancing out her aether with ice.But when it comes to being a master of the flame, none come close to the fire she spreads.

Thaumaturgy is a form of arcane manipulation that allows the practitioner to unleash (his/her) will as deadly manifestations of primal power.
Flame’s Keeper Flame has always been Cyriette’s closest friend. While not one who has been picked by the elements, one cannot deny Cyriette has a strong bond to the energy of them. As such, Cyriette is a master of flame and fire. She can push her own alignment to fire and boost her flames as well as gain resistance in this same energy. Though this in turn makes her far weaker to water and the water elements in combat. Remarkable, when dealing with fire Cyriette doesn’t need a staff to manipulate the element which shows her strong connection though without a staff her magic tends to be much less tamed and far more chaotic.Aetherical Symmetry A reason why Cyriette is able to pick up and practice Blue Magic. While Cyriette struggles to push herself to match the aether naturally around her - she is a determined sorceress and instead bridges this gap by overloading the aether around her with magic. Instead of attuning to wind, Cyriette will force the energy around Wind with fire and thunder to push the air elemental out and instead into a different balance such as water. Her same energy carries into her formulas as an Arcanist as well.
